Ohh ok, not a competition, but got worried I had inadvertantly duplicated what someone had already done :P
I'm sure my Java code won't win any prizes, but in testing the plugin works quite well and includes exception handling with relevant error-messages so should be easy to use and easy to debug if something breaks.
