Yes, but what is the solution for Rok?
Is there a workaround? For example can he somehow temporarily change
is windows settings to a character set that would result in the file
being imported.

Hi Victor,
I agree that it is not a critical issue if it only applies to
manual module installations but in any case I think it makes sense to
have this lesson learned and just not to use special symbols and to be
on the safe side.
I´ll take a note to reflect it in the documentation.

Dmitry.

Hi,
As far as we know, there is no problem with these two modules when the
user installs them from the central repository as usual, and when he
uses Openbravo to apply/edit the datasets.
The problem appears when the user manually tries to access/modify the
file outside Openbravo.
So, from my point of view, this issue is not a critical one and it's
clearly related to a Windows problem and not to an Openbravo bug.

What
is the plan to resolve this?

Hi
Rok,
The Localization team is the responsible of this module.
Other module that can be affected by this issue is the Spanish Taxes
module, which has a dataset called "Impuestos_para_España"

Hi,
I recently discovered an issue with the org.openbravo.spain.regions
module. If one checks out the code into the modules folder and runs
install.source on a Windows machine, the module's dataset never gets
imported, the xml file just gets ignored.
That is because the dataset source file inside this module is named "Provincias_de_España.xml"
and Windows is terrible with international
characters.
This is a generic issue and should be resolved by never using
international characters in filenames which is generally a bad
practice. In this case, the problem originates from naming Datasets
from which the filename is generated. This should somehow be documented
or resolved.
Does anyone else know which modules could be affected? can this be
forwarded to the correct team that is responsible for the
org.openbravo.spain.regions module?
Regards,
Rok
