Yes it should work with Open5GS. You might find some help configuring it for 
LTE in the osmocom.org wiki.
It was written for the DUL 20 but should be still matching for the 
https://osmocom.org/projects/ericsson-rbs-6xxx/wiki/DUL_20_Configuration

The DUG has been tested with osmo-bsc and also a lot of effort has been done 
for it to work.

AFAIK nobody tested the DUS 31 or BB5xxx or BB6xxx with osmo-bsc.
I would expect it requires additional work.
But it would be interesting what would happen on the IP side. If you've time to 
create a setup, a pcap
would be nice.

If you want to configure it, try to configure it as GSM only. In theory it 
should also work in mixed mode, but that might require additional work. Be 
simple and start with GSM only.
