I recently bought myself an excellent little 6300 series All-in-one HP printer. I wanted to be able to print, and scan, but right now, I will just try to print. It has networking, and an IP on our home network.
I wondered if it was possible to print to it. I read what I could of the lpd man page, but no mention of TCP settings, or IP address connections. Using BSD as a print server was the only way I saw that an IP address was used in this manner. Also, has anyone had any luck compiling/building the new HPLIP. I saw FreeBSD had a port for it, but OpenBSD still has the old HPIJS. I'd love to be able to print, and scan with my new printer...
