Hi,
I hope I can get some advice, as I know zero
about T1. (Also, whether I'm making a mistake
doing this)

After some years of running a webserver and
mailserver, and hosting some minor stuff using a
DSL connection, I have a chance to upgrade to a
T1 connection.

I have a block of 5 static IP addresses, with a
3.0Mb/512Kb DSL connection.
I rarely actually get these speeds, and the lack
of upload speed along with lack of dependability
of the DSL connection is keeping me from wanting
to take the chance to do more with this.
----------------
The deal I'm being offered on the T1 is:
36 month term - $349.00/month - no install fee
- I provide the router on my side
            OR
60 month term - $329.00/month - no install fee
- I provide the router on my side
----------------
As to hardware.

I see on the openbsd supported hardware page:
WAN adapters
1. SBE (formerly Lan Media Corporation) SSI (T1)/HSSI/DS1/DS3 WAN
interfaces (lmc) #
 2. Sangoma Technologies AFT T1/E1 WAN interfaces (san) #

I'm using an AMD64 based system running OpenBSD 4.0 Stable
for my firewall/router.

I assume I would install one of the two WAN adaptors (whichever
I'm told id the best one).

>From that point, I'm not clear about what hardware it takes.

My ISP says something about a "smartbox"?

Anyway, for starters:
Specifically what hardware is involved in doing a T1?

Am I making a mistake doing this?

Thanks for any and all advice on this, Ed
