Your machine has to support APM. Most modern machines dont. An alternative is to enable ACPI. Note that ACPI is experimental and not enabled in GENERIC kernels. Even if you do 'enable acpi' during boot, this only enables a minimal functionality used for interrupt mappings. To make the ACPI fully functional, you need to prepare a custom kernel configuration and compile your own kernel. That said, from this point on, you are completely on your own. You will not likely to get support on non GENERIC kernels, and while ACPI support has improved a lot, it is still experimental, and may do bad things to your machine. But, in practice, there is. _______________________________________________ Openbsd-newbies mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.theapt.org/listinfo/openbsd-newbies
