I really had a hard time with this same problem.
You can call the manufacturer, some answer really quickly and understand 
what you are asking
Others are clueless
I wouldn't even bother asking the online vendor if it's a middle man

Many times they change chipsets and change version number but not model 
number! So be careful with that.

I finally found a card locally at  Walmart that worked with a ralink chipset
Belkin F5D9010
Not sure if there are other versions out there with different chipsets
