I have checked in some changes that may interest the 0.9 version too. Please
check for compatibility.
Also the modules:
OpenSSL
CRL
X509
have been modified, patch your versions for compatibility.
I do think really that having multiple versioning is not a good idea and
that we SHALL:
o Keep one version of the modules to be backward compatible
as possible;
o Go to the original openca/ for development (not -0.8, -0.9);
o Start merging the two versions;
How to do it ? We are facing some extremely hard work to be done...
I was planning of having some functions within the modules to display
the objects ( just as always, adding a getHTML function that returns
a Table with the display of the object -- CRL/CERTIFICATE/REQUEST/
PKCS7 ). This could help having some "standard" visualization method.
Some work should be started on extensions support within the modules
expecially for the X509 one. Actually them are ignored and it is not
possible to retrieve and extension value from an object...
I have in mind a way of manging extensions files onto the CA and as I
said I would have taken in charge the task... :-D I will start working
on it when the 0.8 release is out.
