I commited a first version of a caching daemon to CVS. After adding all necessary stuff the last caching daemon is now 50% slower than the first version. I need 37 seconds for 10.000 configuration parameters.
Actually I use one messagequeue and two fifos because I don't know how fast fifos are and how many bytes I can transfer through a messagequeue.
