I found the problem with Net::Server. The classes PreFork and PreForkSimple have a bug which crashs fork and exec. If we use only Fork then all work fine.
I have a first version finished. The question is now what should we do? I could commit the stuff to CVS head. Any comments before I do this? The code is of course not 100 percent stable but which new server is 100 percent stable?
