My problem is the following: the window.crypto.signText() function is missing in later versions of netscape 4.8 and also in mozilla What should I do? should I replace the window.crypto.signText() function with something else?
I don't know if a patch exists for Netscape 4.8 but Mozilla has official patch and un-official ones that adds the ability to sign a text in pkcs#7 format.
The official is available from the mozdev site but it is not compatible as they have changed the name of the function AFAIK, the latter one - a mozilla version already patched - is available from wamcom (www.wamcom.org).
