Hi,
I filed a new bug on SF: with the new CVS version OpenCA pipes commands to OpenSSL instead of specifying commands on its command line. This is not good when a wrapper is used, because the wrapper receives STDIN and most certainly does not know what to do with it.
I think I will have to go back to a previous CVS version before this change was made, as long as this bug is not fixed.
My question: are there any issues to expect when using an old OpenCA::OpenSSL with the up-to-date rest of the software?
Perhaps someone (Michael?) can give me a hint which was the last version before this change?
I think the version must be before 1.121. The problem is that there were several bugfixes after this version and we cannot move back because we need the dynamic engine support for OpenSSL. Dynamic engines are only supported at the shell prompt of OpenSSL. You can only think about wrinting another _execute_command which does not pipe.
BTW I think it is a bug in nCiphers wrapper if it is not able to forward STDIN to the command which is wrapped.
