usaly sscep only segfaults if something is wrong, in the provided or 
recived data, yes there are no error checks, so it usaly dies then, but 
if debugging is enabled one can see where it dies so where the problem 
occurs and which data may be corrupted

hmm that scep-interface sends back ist help screen is strange, but 
means, there is something wrong, and we have to add more error checking 
in pkioperation cmd - it just passes scep output along usaly

how is the scep-interface setup?
did you provide a cert and a key for the interface?
