it seems to work properly.
I am not sure if I should check in the change, however, it seems
to be mainly cosmetical to me. In addition the same happens for
other configurable drop-down boxes, for example with the available
RAs to select requests from.
So, other question: check in the changes for this bug or reject it?

This should only happen with LOA because others use the more clean scalar to count items in an array. $# returns the serial of last item in the array. Therefore scalar should be used. I think you should commit it because it is a bug and if we can fix it before the release then we should do it. I think that the fix is not critical in the meaning of stability.
