Hi Martin,

As SCEP is imho one of the most requested features in the near past, I

I decided to check it in in order to allow others to have a look at
it. It's available in CVS head only, I don't want to mess with the
0.9.2 branch because of the experimental nature of the changes... :)

The "automatic approval" mode implements a method for request approval
defined in later versions of the SCEP draft. Use this mode only if
you have met the prerequisites:

- CVS head versions of OpenCA::OpenSSL and OpenCA::PKCS7 (will be
  included in 0.9.2.3)

Do you mean with this that you need OpenCA::OpenSSL from CVS HEAD too?

Both modules have new error tracing and debugging code which bases on the API which is only available in CVS HEAD. The code does not work on 0.9.2 because some modules are simply not present.

I started a small discussion with Oli about our branch management but it is perhaps no good idea to make it more complicated. The idea was to introduce feature and minor release branches on the 0.9.2 branch. The problem is that this is perhaps to complicated for the most people.

We have actually a fully stable 0.9.2 which is ready for release. So the question was/is what to do? Release 0.9.2.3. Add utf8 support and immediately release 0.9.2.4 or only release the stuff as a patch. I would prefer the immediate 0.9.2.3 release and after some days a 0.9.2.4 release but perhaps this is too confusing?

We should not discuss too much core stuff off-list :)
