Tony,

the other CAs do not HIDE the serial numbers but they chose it randomly.
So very big integers appear in that field. The disadvantage of this
method is to manage whether a serial number is already issued or not.

Regards

Thomas

        Betreff: [OpenCA-Devel] Certificate serial number

        Hi List,

Is it possible with OpenCA to make the certificate serial number
not appear in clear ?

I mean that with OpenCA the certificate serial numbers are : 1,
2, 3, ... n ... n+1

I would like to "hide" the certificate serial number like lot of
CA do, with a serial number like 1f 42 28 5f 3c 88 0f 8e 3c 89 b3 84 b3
ab 1f 1c

        Thanks in advance !

        Tony
