There should be a log directory where these messages are stored in xml format. Do you see anything which gives more hints? The command itself (if nothing goes really wrong) should call eximObjectToLDAP in ./src/common/lib/functions/export-import.lib which again should create different log entries depending on what exactly goes wrong.
