openca is not an easy piece of software. so you must have
basic *nix skills. with this basic skills you should solve
your problem easily. questions i would ask:
- runs the daemon?
- exists the socket?
- messages at daemon start?
- what say the logfiles?
- ....

when you look for this answers, your problem will be
solved with a very high chance ... ;)
