Hi everybody, I try to set up OpenCA, but I unfortunately fail before I actually started ;o) After I firstly stumbled over the "req -subj" syndrom, I got only a little farther with openssl-0.9.7 RPMs from ftp.openca.org. CA Certificate Request generation with a previously created key still fails. Apache's error log tells me:
--------------- snip ------------------ Using configuration from /usr/local/OpenCA/conf/openssl/openssl.cnf You are about to be asked to enter information that will be incorporated into your certificate request. What you are about to enter is what is called a Distinguished Name or a DN. There are quite a few fields but you can leave some blank For some fields there will be a default value, If you enter '.', the field will be left blank. ----- Email Address []:problems making Certificate Request 5957:error:0E06D06C:configuration file routines:NCONF_get_string:no value:conf_lib.c:328: Can't call method "getTXT" on an undefined value at cmds/genCAReq line 71, <FD> line 32. Compilation failed in require at /usr/home/httpd/cgi-ca/ca line 169, <FD> line 32. --------------- snap ------------------ I had some looks at the code (OpenCA:: perl module, openssl 's req.c and OpenCa's ca stuff) but I cannot get a clue out of it. Is there maybe something wrong with the OpenCA provided openssl configuration for the CA? I don't think that I made greater modifications to that. Full of despair - please help!!!! ;o) Regards, Harry. -- Harry Waschkeit ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) BinTec Communications AG (www.bintec.de) Suedwestpark 94, 90449 Nuernberg, FRG Voice: +49 911 9673 0, Fax: +49 911 9673 1499 _______________________________________________ Openca-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openca-users
