Hi!

I am currently working on setting up an in-house CA.
I am running things with 0.8.1 and everything works fine with Netscape 4.7x
and manually created certificate requests (openssl command line tool).

Unfortunately people using IE (different versions) only get disappointing
results (generation of certificate requests does not work), some of them
installed Netscape 6.2 and it also does not work (error was already reported
on an openca-mailinglist, as I've seen).
I would be willing to install the 0.9 version under development in order
to test things out and improve our situation: my user base tells me
"IE" is the standard and 90% of people use it, so they insist on staying
with it. There is a lot of other work to do, but as the boss insists on
setting up an infrastructure for secure email exchange with partners,
he is also willing to accept some working hours spent to improve OpenCA.
* is there hope that IE gets better support with 0.9?
* unfortunately it seems that the database structure changed between
0.8.1 and 0.9, but I did not find any "migration" documentation.
Of course I need to keep the already established CA and other
  certificates.

Best regards,
        Lutz
