The value is only displayed to show you what is the value in the certificate. The code cannot know what the serial is before the generation of the certificate starts. If you issue a certificate then the DN contains of course the correct serial of the certificate. Michael P.S. openssl has a bug actually so that the DN displayed by OpenSSL is SN=cert'serial, cn=.... The certificate itself is correct. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Bell Email (private): [EMAIL PROTECTED] Rechenzentrum - Datacenter Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Humboldt-University of Berlin Tel.: +49 (0)30-2093 2482 Unter den Linden 6 Fax: +49 (0)30-2093 2959 10099 Berlin Germany [OpenCA Core Developer] http://www.openca.org _______________________________________________ Openca-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openca-users
