We have the possibility to participate in an offering to build up a
big scale Root CA with RAs. Being an OSS company we will only use OSS
software. The scedule is quite tight. Our offering must be done *within
this week*, the whole SW/HW infrastructure must be up by september.
That means that the tight time constraints will not allow us doing a lot
of base infrstructure programming if it'd be missing from openca by this
time.

As a group we do have knowledge about building up such infrastructure but
no experience with openca.

So before we dive in, we need to know:

* Is openca fit and
* stable enough
* and does it offer a sufficient featureset for employment in a large
  and very critical environment?
* Does it have sufficient support for HW (storage on cards, hw random
  number generators, hw offline ca root cerrtificate storage etc.)

We're asking this on -users, but if it's accepted we can also forward
to -devel.

We would *very much* appreciate opinions, advice, pointers, tales of
peoples experiences,
*t
