Under /usr/local/OpenCA/var/crypto/chain there is

total 12
drwxr-xr-x    2 httpd   websrc    4096 May 21 13:50 .
drwxr-xr-x    8 httpd   websrc    4096 May 21 13:50 ..
lrwxrwxrwx    1 httpd   websrc      10 May 21 10:12 .0 -> cacert.crt
lrwxrwxrwx    1 httpd   websrc      10 May 21 10:16 .1 -> cacert.crt
lrwxrwxrwx    1 httpd   websrc      10 May 21 11:27 .2 -> cacert.crt
lrwxrwxrwx    1 httpd   websrc      10 May 21 11:28 .3 -> cacert.crt
lrwxrwxrwx    1 httpd   websrc      10 May 21 11:47 .4 -> cacert.crt
lrwxrwxrwx    1 httpd   websrc      10 May 21 11:48 .5 -> cacert.crt
lrwxrwxrwx    1 httpd   websrc      10 May 21 11:49 .6 -> cacert.crt
lrwxrwxrwx    1 httpd   websrc      10 May 21 13:50 .7 -> cacert.crt
-rw-r--r--    1 httpd   websrc       0 May 21 15:15 cacert.crt
-rw-r--r--    1 root    root      1538 May 17 13:45 Makefile

Although I notice that here cacert.crt is zero, under
/usr/local/OpenCA/var/crypto/cacerts cacert.der and cacert.pem aren't zero.
OpenCA uses openssl-SNAP-20020507.

The rebuild of the chain is not browser dependend. (I do it really often
with konqueror.)

I never saw such a message. Could save the hole html-page? I want to
have a look when does this errormessage appear (The tags in the
HTML-page are important). What is the content of
OpenCA/var/crypto/chain/?

The problem is that the returncode is 0 but the returnmessage from
openssl is not empty. Therefore I asked what is present in
OpenCA/var/crypto/chain/ (perhaps some dot-files)?

So the apache receives no error.
