Hello, For an example which fails, I guess I was using openca-SNAP-20020517 ; openssl-SNAP-20020507 then, and trying to generate an RA administrator cert request. Again, the main problem here was this was not consistent. Whenever I got a 'Cannot Create Request' (I probably saw this mesg on 3 occassions), I went back to the previous screen, and reduced some chars at the email-id and pressed 'continue', and the request was getting created successfully. So I assumed this must've been some configurable limitation, as I never got stuck at this stage, and went ahead with the testing not giving it too much importance. When I counted the emailid, 29 chars was going thru successfully. I am afraid I haven't written down the details of the request ie email, name, pin etc.
For "Cannot convert PEM-certificate and PKCS#8-key to PKCS#12-formatted file!." , You are absolutely right, I was giving a (new) password at the "Input user password" field, instead of the 'PIN' initally given. Now it is fine. :) Thank you Pramila -----Original Message----- From: Michael Bell [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 01 June 2002 21:17 To: Pramila Rani Cc: Openca-Users (E-mail) Subject: Re: [Openca-Users] Basic request Pramila Rani schrieb: > Using previous snapshots, I used to ocassionally get a 'cannot create request' on >other requests, but if my emailid length was reduced, then I was able to create a >request.
