Hello All,
Congrats, I've been looking for good Open Source
PKI code and it looks like you've done a good job
here. I've had the CA and RA up and running on Linux
and Solaris, but some problems when passing certs,
etc. I'm new so bare with me and set me straight:
1) Is there an expected date for 1.0? I've been
cruising the list for an expected release
date/schedule of 1.0. .9+ will be nice, but I'm
looking for something production & STABLE oriented
within six months. Is six months too aggresive?
2) I plan to test on Redhat 7.3 and deploy on
Solaris (8/9) six months out. What's the right STABLE
OpenCA combination of code, (mixing becomes too
involved)?
3) I'm a confused when it comes to prerequisites.
What I find is .8.1+ is tagged stable, but that comes
with the caveat of "at your own risk" -
SNAP of 200111028 AND 9.7-dev (Development)? I'm
running OpenSSL 9.6d and since there is only RPM's,
could I download 9.7 beta tarballs from openssl.org?
I'd like to keep to the same release and/or SNAP's
across platforms if possible. I've seen reference to
running Solaris config's on .9, but am not sure as to
what they should be on 8.1 as well. If you could
provide an example matrix like the following it'd be
great:
Solaris Linux
OpenCA
SNAP
OpenSSL
Configs
If Solaris isn't in the mix, what would it be with
Redhat?
Thanks,
cs
