The private key is never be placed in the certificate. You can export both key 
from your browser as PKCS#12-file. This you can convert to the needed format.

If you using netscape then they are stored in the cert7.db and key3.db. If you 
using Ie then you must read the documentation about Microsofts default-CSP.
