Guys, hello there please forgive me but I am very new to OpenCA. I have been lurking for a short while and now feel it is time to ask for some help !
I am evaluating OpenCA and have installed v0.9RC2 on SuSE 8 (I am running both CA and RA on one box for evaluation purposes), after a few opensll problems I have now got it all to compile (hooray !). OK to my problem, I know that I need a data base for the CA to store certificates and root keys etc, but I assumed that the default installation would use a flat file DB. When I start to initialise the CA (via the web screens) I get the following error: Error 690 Configuration Error. Cannot initialize OpenCA::DB class! (/usr/local/openca.0.9.0/openca/var/db) Errorcode: 2111041 Errormessage: OpenCA::DB->new: Cannot initialize database (2121021) OpenCA::DB->initDB: Cannot open database with datatype VALID_CA_CERTIFICATE, filename and accessmode (2141021) OpenCA::DB->dbOpen: Cannot initialize DBMS... Now, I have been through the PDF (OpeCA guide) and it talks about the default data base being OpenCA::DB. I have the DB.pm module installed. Can anyone shed some light for me on this problem. Have I missed an installation/configuration step ? Your help would be appreciated.
