I created a certificate for a user from the command
prompt. I tried to import this
certificate on windows NT for Outlook express manually. The
error message I got was that the certificate file format is not recognized.
I edited the certificate file in wordpad editor and
removed the txt format section of the certificate file and renamed it from
user.crt to user.cer [ The editing was done by refering a certificate file
on windows]
Now though my certificate file got recognized. But
now when I I import the certificate in outlookexpress, the certicate is not
shown in the list of certificates though a successfully installed message
is shown.
Has anybody faced a similar problem while trying to
import a certificate on windows. Can anybody throw some light on
it.
Or is there a specific format in which a
certificate created using OpenCA can be directly imported on windows.
