Hi Einar,
Thanks for your suggestion. I changed the references to the tar
version in the conf files. The import improved slightly since it
got past the previous point but it then fails again whilst
apparently trying to import the RBAC configuration. Again, just
getting an error 256 back -- no idea how I can debug that, since
the extraction now appears to be ok.
I located the export-import.lib file (or something similar) and
removed the RBAC stuff altogether. In this case, the CA cert was
successfully imported. However, in this case, the first "normal"
certificate (the CA operator cert) was not apparently found and
hence not imported.
Do you guess that using mysql or some other DB system would solve
these problems? I'm soon going to give it up and install both CA
& RA in the same directory otherwise :-(
Thanks,
Herbert

I had similar problems when trying to import. I am running OpenCA 0.9.1
on a SPARC Solaris 8 machine. I solved my problems by using GNU tar instead
of Solaris tar. They differ slightly but enough to cause trouble.
Try to run the commands from the debug output on the command line and see
what happens.
