Hi Dean,

Actually I am using Red Hat 8.0, so I have the latest tar version. I have
checked permissions on the /dev/fd0 and they are ok, because data transfer
between the floppy and OpenCA works fine when I generate a request from
OpenCA and write it to the disk and then read it back! the problem only
arises when this request has been generated from keytool, then the error is
signaled and I am not able to read this request into OpenCA!

Check to make sure that the appropriate permissions have been set on the
/dev/fd0 device so as to allow OpenCA (especially the web interface) to
be able to execute its instructions and write data to the disk. Other
suggestions which have appeared on here are to make sure that you have
the latest version of tar. Perhaps your version of "tar" which is on
your system does not like the options being passed in with a "-" in
front of them.

See ya
