Guys, looking at the messages after signing the test page (pub interface Test certificate):
Signer's DN: serialNumber = 3 Issuer's DN: CN=test_root_ca Signers Certificate Serial: 4 Now , I know that my Sub CA has serial number 4. This is what is wrong ! My Sub CA has serial number 4, the signers cert has serial number 3. The routine is looking at the wrong cert to get the serial number. As I don't have many certs in this data base, there is not one with a serial number of 4. That is why there is the message Cannot find the certificate with the matching serial in the database !
