Hi, EXPORT_IMPORT_DOWN_DEVICE is defined both in ca.conf and ra_node.conf. I have troubles understanding whether I have to configure my custom device in ra_node.conf only or also in ca.conf. Can anyone explain it to me please ?
I want to use scp to export from RA to CA and vice-versa, as suggested in the config file comment. And also why do I find ra_node.conf in CA's etc/servers subdirectory, and not ca_node.conf ? Because I have set hierarchy level when compiling CA to ra ? This is the hierarchy level I have found in Michael's book, but I don't fully understand what it is for. Do I have to understand that "CA" + "--hierarchy level=ra" means "from CA viewpoint, RA is above CA" while "RA" + "--hierarchy level=ca" means that "from RA viewpoint, CA is above RA" ? What does every .conf configuration file configure, to tell it in plain English ? (which functions/interface "pages"). I'm sorry but I haven't found it in Michael's book. Online 0.9.2 doc helps a bit more but doesn't fully answer my question. I also wonder about setting up a second CA, so that I have root CA, CA1 and CA2. Can anyone give me some hints please ?
