I've been trying to install openca 0.9.2.
I'm only at the offline CA stage.
I've done ./configure --my-options, make, make-install.

Did you edit config.xml and run configure_etc.sh? Did you start the daemons with openca_start?

I'm following the manual, but now, whenever I try to access it thru the browser, I get a
"Error An unknown login type was specified in the configuration!".

I already changed the authentication to none in access_control/ca.xml, but the error remains.

Since it seems other people have been able to get it done, what am I doing wrong?

Good question. I was never touched by this problem.

PS - You mention in the last advisory to get a snapshot version newer then 20031124, but I can't find it.
Where can I get the latest version?

I publish the new snapshots at

ftp://ftp.openca.org/pub/openca/developers/bell/snapshots

and the RCs and releases at

ftp://ftp.openca.org/pub/openca/developers/bell/releases

After some time Massimiliano copy them to the official places. The delay depends on Max' personal stress factor :)
