I've found that by adding this to the configure script:

  --with-httpd-fs-prefix=/srv/www \
  --with-htdocs-fs-prefix=/srv/www/htdocs \
  --with-cgi-fs-prefix=/srv/www/cgi-bin \

everything ends up in the proper place using Suse 9.0

Did you edit config.xml and run configure_etc.sh? Did you start the
daemons with openca_start?

Good question. I was never touched by this problem.

I publish the new snapshots at

ftp://ftp.openca.org/pub/openca/developers/bell/snapshots

and the RCs and releases at

ftp://ftp.openca.org/pub/openca/developers/bell/releases

After some time Massimiliano copy them to the official places. The delay
depends on Max' personal stress factor :)
