Here is the crypto shell error in openca_start from CVS. Killing the process and redoing the command worked fine the 2nd time.
I checked the daemons a little bit more carefully. The first surprising thing is that the XML cache creates it's socket file in /tmp. I have fixed this issue. The next problem is more a security TODO. The server socket has the wrong permissions (755 and not 700 or 600).
Snapshotfile was updated.
