Hi Johnny,

Are you sure openssl is recognized by the system as a standard command ? (in
the path).

Type "whereis openssl" and it may give an answer where it is.
Type "openssl" in a console and it should give you an openssl prompt.
If it does not, you must add openssl's path to the system path.

Objet : [Openca-Users] Error Message: Cannot open pipe to OpenSSL. ??

Hello Everybody, can anyone help me with this problem?
When I try to Generate CA secret key, after filling
the blanks an especial error message appears:

Secret Key
Following you can find the result of the generation
process. OpenCA::OpenSSL failed: 7711011
Errormessage: OpenCA::OpenSSL->genKey: Cannot open
pipe to OpenSSL.

What's going on here?

I've installed openssl-0.9.7c, mod_ssl-2.8.15-1.3.28, apache_1.3.28 and
openca-0.9.1.5.

Thanks in advance.
I'd appreciate all comments,
Johnny Gonzalez L
