Hi list,
if this is off topic please forgive me but I'm completely
puzzled at the moment. I'm trying to install OpenCA 0.9.1.7
on a Debian 3.0 Sarge installation. I have come so far as
to that OpenCA was configured (using modified OpenCA-default
configure script, the modification belonged to the places
of the htdocs-and cgi-bin directories) and compiled
successfully using make.
Then I installed all three modes using make install-ca,
make install-ra and make install-pub because right now I
just want to test openca out and not using this particular
machine for productive usage.
After doing the apache configuration according to the examples
(I use Directory Matches and not virtual hosts) -
I tried to use openca for the first time and pointed my
Browser to my freshly installed server. Strange to say, I
could see the left menu and the topframe, but then I was
confronted with that rather annoying message saying that
mozilla was unable to determine what to do with this file of
type x-application perl and wanted to download it. The file
that got my mozilla so confused was ca (which is clearly
the perl script from /var/www/cgi-bin/cgi-ca)
My first thought was that my apache 1.3 would probably not know
how to handle perl scripts and checked that. I do load the
mod_perl module in my apache configuration and that is the
reason I'm so confused at the moment. Can anyone tell me what
I did wrong???
Many thousand thanks in advance,
chris
