I tried "[ [EMAIL PROTECTED]" although I think you ment "[ [EMAIL PROTECTED]", without 
"D" after"]". Nevertheless, none works. Both get the same error. And \x5B and \x5D 
seem to be "[" and "]".

But I animate everyone to test, if this problem exists widely. Maybe it's just my 
system (SuSE 9.1, and yes, I downgraded OpenSSL ;-))
