there is an interesting question i forgot to ask:
how is your openca setuped? have you a certificate and key pare for scep
at the openca.xml file before running ./configure_etc.sh?

no. scep configured in scep.conf afer that.

to verfiy the scep installation is working properly - i suggest the usage of sscep to check - if this is working, we can asume the scep part at open-ca to be fine and correct setuped

not yet, sorry :-(. compiling sscep just now. will write as soon as possible

testing with cisco equipment will maybe moved to tomorrow
no time left for today... ;o(
(btw: its not a route its a pix but if this works usaly other
cisco stuff works too)

i wouldn't be such shure. pix ia a cmpletely different architecture. and apprently another team develops it... ...let's see anyway :-)
