My end problem is when I replace the var/crypto directory using my previous version, and go through the menu's to look at the valid certs, I don't get any certs on the web page. I assumed it had to do with the error message.

Is there an approved way to do an upgrade? Like I said, installing the upgrade on top of an existing version leads to too many problems. So I wipe out the openca directory, do the install of the new version and then overlay var/crypto.

If you want to upgrade a 0.9.2 then you can do it via two ways:

1. Install the new version over the old version but remove the etc/-area before this action (nor recommended).

2. Install the new version and copy the complete var/ area. var/crypto is definitely no enough.
