Sorry but the DBM backend is really pure. You can only search with wildcards if you use a SQL database. If you use DBM then you can only search with exactly matching strings.

Ok I know, but anyway, if I perform ad exact match (cut and paste of the mail from a valid certificate for example), the result is an empty table. :-(
any suggest? it's a problem of Berkeley DB? can I resolve it in any way?
Sounds like a bug in our DBM backend. Can you create a new bug on sourceforge with a good description please? This would help us a lot to track the issue.
