last cvs on pub/scep and a bit older cvs on ra and ca servers.
i have had a similar problem with 0.9.2RC5 in july ("pkcs7 verify data returned status 0x707" thread).
RC6 not tested yet, but i don't think somebody returned old buggy code in newest cvs stream ;-/.
can't it be debian specific problem ? (i would be surprised but...)
hmm - yeah when you mention this: did sscep get the pending-replys or does it crash there too?
i wouldn't say it crashes, but yes it complains on server status code 200 and terminates
do it must continue tries after code 200 ?
then it may be the 'usual' openssl-0.9.7d problem - since there is the pkcs#7 part broken... they fixed this but since its not a 'security' problem there is no new openssl release, so the 0.9.7d release is broken per default...
bingo!
tere are two openssl on my pub server.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ openssl version
OpenSSL 0.9.6l 04 Nov 2003
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ /usr/local/ssl/bin/openssl version
OpenSSL 0.9.7d 17 Mar 2004
and both are buggy. :-(
is there working version, you recommend 2 use ?
and may be it is reasonable to say some words about this in softawre requirements section ?
the cvs version of 0.9.7 will work, since it is fixed in the cvs
so one may call this a debian problem, but actually it is a openssl problem and specially of there release-policy for stable releases...
greetings dalini
