I'm installing Openca 0.9.2.1 with MySQL but after install OpenCa and the packges: mysql-3.23.58-2.3 mysql-devel-3.23.58-2.3 mysql-server-3.23.58-1.9
I get this error (when I run the command mysqltest):
mysqltest: Failed in mysql_real_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)
I tried to locate the file mysql.sock but it doesn't exist!!!
Is your mysql installation running ?
Perhaps you have a non-standard location for you socket file - if so than create just a symlink to it.
Otherwise you can simply give the IP Adress of the host as mysql-host - than mysql will use network sockets
