How do you change the role of a user? Using the DB files as a database.
Official: The Role is assigend at the time the certificate is issued and can not changed afterwards.
Hack: you can edit the database and simply retype the value of the role attribute that is stored in the "certificate" table, but I will not recommend this as a clean soultion, the Role is relevant for choosing the right openssl config file and so the role has an immediate effect on the attributes and structure of the issued cert.
Note: DBM Support is dropped in the upcoming release and no longer supported !!
