Hi Oliver, No, I use pure sendmail and just for sending OpenCA mails - no other jobs and functions. It is a standard sendmail v8, preinstalled with FreeBSd 4.11.
Maybe Michael can comment how OpenCA sends mails and how sender is written in From: field? In FreeBSD environment sender is setting by adding -f (or -r ) option when calling sendmail.
