Hello,

As far as I can remember, to start from new you have to:

1. Drop the tables in the database.
2. edit OpenCA/var/crypto/index.txt and OpenCA/var/crypto/index.txt.old and
remove all entries
3. reset OpenCA/var/crypto/serial to 1 and OpenCA/var/crypto/serial.old to 0
3. reset OpenCA/var/crypto/crlnumber to 01 and OpenCA/var/crypto/crlnumber.old
to 00
4. remove files from OpenCA/var/crypto/keys OpenCA/var/crypto/reqs
OpenCA/var/crypto/crls OpenCA/var/crypto/cacerts
5. remove all files except Makefile from OpenCA/var/crypto/chain

Now you should be able to create the initial setup new as if it was a new
installation.

Regards
Max

Subject: [Openca-Users] forget password for ca private key testinstallation

Hello,

I have made a test Installation 0.9.2.4.
I found some thinks, i forgot in configuration.
Now I´m back from holidays and I have forgot my password for CA (!) PRIVATE
KEY
(General -> Initialization -> Generate new CA secret key)
Because it is no productive installation - i can begin from here new.
But I dont won´t do delete my work for config.xml and so on.

What files must I delete, that I can new begin from here ?
One file I think is this
/usr/local/openca/openca/var/crypto/keys/cakey.pem
and which files also ?

Regards to helper

Herbert
