John had a problem with CRL expiration notification and Til suggested
I publish my solution.
Well, I just whipped up a release out of my framework. You can get it at
http://www.cynops.de/oss/releases/checkstate-0.1.tar.gz
Included are checks for
- nCipher HSM (key online check)
- CRLs stored in LDAP (remaining validity with three warning
threshold levels)
- simple OpenCA "Daemon is online" check
Notification in the sample is done via syslog. Sample code for
attaching Nagios is included.
