Hi Oli,

When I try to start the openca daemon I get:

Starting OpenCA ... Logging is not initialized.
Configuration error: The XML cache does not work properly - aborting.
Configuration error: The XML cache does not work properly - aborting.
Compilation failed in require at ./openca_start line 62.
FAILED

There is no stderr.log

In xml_cache.log I get:

OpenCA::XML::Cache> Fri Mar  3 10:16:48 2006 UTC message:
OpenCA::XML::Cache> Error 500: Client: The POSIX function connect failed.

Any ideas ?

I had a similar problem with the same symptoms.
Have a look at the PID files and check if there are any processes
running with those PIDs that are not OpenCA related.
If this is the case:
Kill all OpenCA processes, delete all PID files and retry.
There are rare conditions where the PID file references an OpenCA
process that no longer exists but whose process ID has been taken
by *another* process on the system not related to OpenCA.
OpenCA gets pretty upset on this.

cheers

Martin
