Hi all,

I need to add a unique identifier given by the user into the subject
name. I want this unique id to be of the type serialNumber, and don't
want OpenCA to set it: as I just said, I want it to be given by the user
. I have edited the server/pub.conf to set a new field in the request form:

DN_TYPE_SPKAC_ELEMENTS "serialNumber" ...............
DN_TYPE_SPKAC_NAME "Basic User Request"

DN_TYPE_SPKAC_BASE_1 "MyORG"
DN_TYPE_SPKAC_BASE_2 "MC"

DN_TYPE_SPKAC_ELEMENT_1 "Unique ID"
DN_TYPE_SPKAC_ELEMENT_1_MINIMUM_LENGTH 6
DN_TYPE_SPKAC_ELEMENT_1_REQUIRED "YES"
DN_TYPE_SPKAC_ELEMENT_1_CHARACTERSET "_LETTERS"

## Many more fields follow................

When the certificate is generated it have two serialNumber fields, one
chosen by the user and one inserted by OpenCA.
I only want the one the user gave and don't want the inserted by the OpenCA.

Can somebody knows what can a I do???

Thanks all,

Jorge
