Mmmmm.. this is really interesting. Could you launch the OCSPD by using
a debugger ? If you use gdb the syntax would be:

        $ gdb --args ocspd -c ocspd.conf -v

or:

        $ gdb ./ocspd

then

        (gdb) set args -c ocspd -v
        (gdb) run

what is the output ?
